The village of Walamo 30 kms outside the Pacific seaside city of Mazatlán in Sinaloa Mexico is a poor dusty village where most of the male inhabitants work in the maize and chilli fields. Younger adults strive to leave as there is no work other than seasonal labouring. Horses are important as a means of transport and to work in the fields.
